Vice President — Global Engineering, Technology and Operations
Nicolas Minbiole joined CAE in July 2016 as Vice President —
Global Engineering, Technology and Operations. Mr. Minbiole is
responsible for Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing/Procurement, Quality
Assurance and Innovation for all of CAE's business units. He is
also a member of the company's Executive Management Committee.
A recognized leader with more than 20 years of experience in the
automotive and aerospace industries, he brings to CAE a strong
track record in leading engineering, operations, program management
and quality functions, as well as leading business segments in
large, highly respected multinationals.
In his career, Mr. Minbiole held roles ranging from front-line
manufacturing management to senior executive in major players in
the automotive industry such as General Motors and Nissan. As
Program Quality Director at Nissan North America, he led a team of
30+ quality professionals responsible for the cradle-to-grave
quality of vehicles produced at five assembly facilities in the
Following his time at Nissan, Mr. Minbiole became Vice President
of Global Quality at Tesla Motors, where he led the design and
execution of the comprehensive quality process of this new emerging
major player in the automotive industry. He drove significant
improvements in quality and effectiveness, allowing the Tesla Model
S to get a score of 99 out of 100 from Consumer Reports,
and win the Motor Trend Car of the Year Award.
His most recent position was Senior Vice President, Head of
Quality at Airbus Defence and Space in Germany, where he and his
team launched a corporate-wide quality initiative, which included a
world-class Quality Management System.
Nicolas holds a Master of Business Administration from the
Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical
Engineering from the University of Michigan.
